Re: Launching a Successful Academic year, September 17, and October 27, 2008
Dear Mr. Sean Campbell:
I would like to take this opportunity to say it was a pleasure to hear your presentations at two separate forums. I also appreciate and thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to join us at Bergen Community College and the opportunity to join you at the Eisenhower Middle School.
All of the attendees thoroughly enjoyed your lecture and believe your book will continue to be a great success. I am sure your presentations will not only help people understand what causes stress but also help de–stress audiences, if not all at once, at least a little at a time.
Sean it has been my distinct privilege to be present to hear you deliver a presentation that was meaningful, realistic and hopeful. It is clear to me that you are capable of capturing the attention of audiences of every age. You have an ability way beyond a presentation. You share a message that has an impact. It is a huge step for a person to open up and speak about difficult issues in such profound and positive terms. You have chosen to help others break down teh barriers that so often hold back their full potential. You have the gift of respondign to an audience at the moment. That is a rare gift.
Here are some meaningful quotes from those who hear you speak. My hope is that they inspire you to continue your journey of inspiring others. These are quotes from studnets, faculty and the community at large.
Enjoy the moment:
"As a survivor myself it takes courage to stand up and let yourself be heard."
"The turn–out, responsiveness and appreciation for the courage of the speaker defy words."
"Listening to that young man about his struggles and triumphs regardign mental illness was deeply moving."
"Having a student speak to us was one of the most powerful moments I have had as an administrator. The story touched me and reminded me of the journey, the fear, and the celebration of getting to the place where young people deserve to be in life."
"That was the most absolutely amazing program I have ever been to! It really opened my eyes. Thank you so much for giving us that opportunity. I feel like that program should be mandatory for all students."
Sean, once again, thank you for your time. I certainly hope we can collaborate with each other on other Mental Health Initiatives in the near future. It is my sincere acknowledgement that you will continue to make a very meaningful and positive difference in the lives of those who have the opportunity to hear you speak.
In the interim, at anytime should you have any questions or require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact either myself at [phone number] or Lori Novak–Carafello at [phone number] or email us at [email].
Sincerely,
